Oktoberfest 2024 – If you’re a beer aficionado like me, on your bucket list is Oktoberfest in Munich.

 You will need at least 4 days to see most of the beer tents and attractions, and you will need to pace yourself the beers are strong and large.

 You don’t need to book a table you can find places to join in the festivities. How ever if you what to be right in the mix of things then go as a group and book a table.

I also recommend not eating to much before you go as there is lots of food like half chicken, pork knuckles, sausages, pretzel, and sauerkraut to help soak up your beers. Make sure you give room to servers they carry an amazing amount on the trays. 

The only area you will have to pay to go into is the traditional region which is well worth a look and you get to see a bit of the history of Oktoberfest and traditional music and dancing.

I would also allow in your budget to buy the traditional outfits from $150 euros. I felt quite out of place not wearing one. 

You are also aloud to stand on your chairs and tables and join in with  singing. You don’t get in trouble like you do back home. As you will see in the below 30 sec snipit. At one of the big beer tents Lowenbrau.
